The parent organization
DWARAA is a division and registered trade name of Sevadar Foundation Inc., a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt public charity, EIN 93-2840861.
What that means in practice
- There is nothing to buy here. DWARAA publishes a framework and the evidence behind it. It sells no product, no service and no subscription, and it makes no claims about money saved by anyone who uses it.
- The operating entity is the foundation. Sevadar Foundation Inc. is the legal entity behind this site, and it is named as such in the privacy and SMS policies.
- DWARAA is not a healthcare provider. It delivers no care, holds no clinical records, and is not a HIPAA covered entity — which is why this site carries a plain website privacy policy rather than a Notice of Privacy Practices. Publishing an NPP here would be a false statement of obligation.
The other divisions
DWARAA is the fourth division operated under the foundation, alongside CareGuard, Valor Medica and IntellaRx.
- CareGuard — an AHRQ-listed Patient Safety Organization. It publishes the long-term care facility safety review that several pages on this site refer to, and it is where the restraint-reduction and memory-care checklists live. Dr. Padda is its Authorized Official, the role the Patient Safety Act assigns to the person who certifies a Patient Safety Organization’s compliance to AHRQ.
- Valor Medica — medical care, mental health and recovery support, and vocational training for veterans and neighbors experiencing homelessness in the St. Louis region.
- IntellaRx — opioid safety for public agencies: pharmaceutical delivery, remote monitoring and psychometrics. It never targets opioid-seeking intent; its purpose is appropriate, safe opioid use.
- Sevadar Foundation — the foundation itself.
Why the name
Sevadar is one who performs seva — service given without expectation of return. ਦੁਆਰਾ, dwaraa, means “through,” “by way of,” or “via,” and can be read as a passage or a gateway. The mark is a house roof drawn over a heart: the gateway reading made literal.
