Terms of use

These terms govern your use of dwaraa.org. DWARAA is a trade name of Sevadar Foundation Inc.; references to “we,” “us” and “our” mean that entity.

Effective date: August 21, 2026

What this site is

DWARAA is a nonprofit division of Sevadar Foundation Inc., a 501(c)(3) public charity. This website publishes educational material about medication burden in older adults. It sells nothing, collects no payment, and offers no product or service for purchase.

What this site is not

DWARAA does not prescribe, deprescribe, diagnose or treat. Nothing on this site is medical advice about any individual, and using the site does not create a clinician–patient relationship with DWARAA, with Sevadar Foundation Inc., or with any physician associated with either. See our medical disclaimer.

Use of the content

You may read, print, quote and share this material for personal, clinical, educational or nonprofit purposes, with attribution to DWARAA and a link to the page. You may not present it as your own work, and you may not modify it in a way that changes its clinical meaning and continues to attribute it to us.

Cited journal articles, guidelines and regulatory documents belong to their own publishers and are subject to their own terms. We link to the original wherever we can.

Accuracy, and the limits of it

Clinical evidence changes. We date every page’s review and we correct errors when we find them, but we make no warranty that any page reflects the most current evidence at the moment you read it. Where a source has been superseded we say so; where we could not source a figure to our own standard, we say that too rather than publishing it.

If you believe something here is wrong, tell us. Contact.

Links to other sites

We link to journal publishers, regulators, government agencies and to related divisions of the same foundation. We do not control those sites and we are not responsible for their content or their practices.

Limitation of liability

This site is provided as-is. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sevadar Foundation Inc. is not liable for any loss or damage arising from the use of, or reliance on, information published here. Clinical decisions are made by clinicians and patients, not by a website.

Changes

We may update these terms. The effective date above changes when we do.

Text messaging

DWARAA operates a text messaging program for its own patients and for people who have contacted us directly. By giving us your mobile number — on a form, at the front desk, or in conversation with our staff — you agree to receive text (SMS) messages from us at that number. Consent is not a condition of receiving care or of purchasing any service.

What we send. Appointment scheduling, confirmations, changes and reminders; notifications about your visit, including paperwork we still need; follow-up and care coordination after a visit; account and billing notifications; and replies to a message or request you or someone acting for you has made. We do not send marketing or promotional texts, and we do not send bulk or broadcast messages. We do not text people who have not given us their number, and we do not add numbers to any list.

Message frequency. Message frequency varies. It depends on your appointments and where you are in a course of treatment. We do not send a fixed number of messages per week or month.

Message and data rates. Standard message and data rates may apply, according to the plan you hold with your mobile carrier. Those charges are yours, not ours.

How to stop. Reply STOP to any message from us to unsubscribe. We will send one confirmation and then stop, except where a message is required by law or is a necessary administrative notice. Reply HELP for help, call (314) 250-5100, or contact us through the contact form. You can also ask any staff member to remove your number.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery is not guaranteed.

Text messaging is not secure and is not monitored around the clock. Do not send medical or personal health information by text, and do not use text messaging for an emergency. If you are having a medical emergency, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency department. If you are in crisis or thinking of harming yourself, call or text 988, the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.

Our full SMS program terms are set out in our SMS Policy, and how we handle your mobile information is described in our Privacy Policy.
